A ritual that aligns us with the fluidity and all-encompassing power of the Full Moon.
The moon has a unique and mischievous connection to the ethereal nature of our innermost being. She awakens the elements, creating a bridge between the subtle universal realm to the deeper inner world, an ancestral tie to our personal myth and magic.
During these phases of the moon, we reflect on how our skin exists in her seasons and light, and how our energy changes with lunar activity. What can we really accomplish in any given moment? The moon asks us to take action in the present, to move from self-care to self-honor.
Our Full Moon Whole Body Ritual is an invitation to return to your throne, to connect to your truest nature. At the full moon your cup is overflowing, ready to be emptied and released.
Gather The Elements
Begin your Ritual
Three days before the full moon, place your White Quartz Gua Sha Stone outside where it can be under direct moonlight. Allow this lunar charge to create energy, vibrations, and powerful cleansing properties within the stone itself.
On the night of the full moon, settle into a quiet space, creating sanctuary in stillness and intuition.
Take a moment before you light your candle and breathe in the layers of the earth's essence. Ceremonial and grounding, allow the essential oils to invite a sense of tranquility.
Focus on the inhibitions you are willing to release, let yourself detach in this moment, this season, this phase.
Light your Ritual Candle with the Match Striker, removing all other light from the room - allowing only the candle and the moon to illuminate the space.
Envision those restrictions or hindrances in the flame. Empty your center.
Fill your bathtub with warm water, or a large bowl to soak your feet.
Remembering as the water level rises, it will soon need to be emptied as with yourself in this ritual.
Pour The Harvest Moon Bath Soak into the water, lowering yourself into the warmth and soaking in the wisdom of the water, the salt and clays from the earth.
Think about your subconscious habits, the way our minds stagnate like old water in a cup - unmoving and toxic.
Drain the water and allow yourself to visualize the doubts and struggles you have experienced within yourself. Envision those thoughts as they drain with the water, washed away.
Feel the strength in this perspective.
Breathe in again the power of the Ritual Candle, the optimistic and grounding essential oils, allow the purity of this moment.
Fill your palm with White Sage & Santal lotion.
Wrap your body in these nutrient rich oils, healing and cloaking yourself in the protective properties of white sage, palo santo, and honoring the moon's cleansing power with the soft scent of water lily - a symbol of strength and resilience.
While your skin is damp, anoint yourself with the Balancing Oil, beginning at the collar bone using soft upward strokes up and over your jawline, pushing the toxins and stored emotions through the lymphatic system to be cleansed away. Continue this motion over the face, upward through the forehead and into your hairline.
Begin the Gua Sha ritual by following the same motions as with the oil, moving upward and outward starting at the base of your neck.
This practice is un-doing the mental and physical stresses that have accumulated in our muscles, moving out the stagnant energy and allowing space to connect to yourself on a higher vibration.
As you practice gua sha, keep the rest of your body in a place of peace. Release your shoulders and take a breath fully into your belly, allowing the movements to bring you into a flow.
Closing your ritual, sit focused on the radiating light of the candle.
As above, so below. One thing always affects another, she must empty to make space for the power to become full again.
