Fable community, as small business owners we have had a lot on our hearts as our brand continues to grow and evolve. As always, we want to come to you with open transparency and honesty. As we grow and learn and gain access to better and cleaner ingredients we feel it’s our responsibility to incorporate those into our product. Our community's health is at the forefront of what we do, we cherish each of you so much and want our products to optimize every aspect of your life and to evoke the magic within you.
Our mission from the start was to protect our consumers' health and we are doubling down on that notion. We are always looking for ways to improve, offer higher-quality ingredients, and provide you with the most beautiful experience in self-care.
After deep research and vetting, we have found so many new incredible ingredients that offer higher potency and efficacy, and we have chosen to incorporate those into our formulations. Going forward, all of our fragrances will have higher amounts of pure essential oils and the cleanest fragrance oils possible.
Our fragrance line has been re-engineered to incorporate more pure essential oils and less synthetic fragrances. These additional botanicals are better for your home and body, promoting a healthier and cleaner environment.

Our Agave & Golden Algae Cream is a customer and founder favorite. We’ve made a few slight adjustments to this formula to perfect the texture and stability of the ingredients. Our newest version is absolute perfection in a jar.
We’ve added peppermint and chlorophyll to our Sea Clay & Tea Tree Cleanser - these help to calm irritation and reduce swelling from breakouts, while infusing healing antioxidants.
Our Probiotic & Kelp Marine Mask has gone through reformulation to make it more hydrating and restorative, as well as giving it a softer creamy new texture for easy application.
As we make room for new products, we have had to make really difficult decisions to discontinue some of our current fragrances to give you the very best product. You can still purchase these scents while we have them in stock:
Big changes do not often come without consequences, the combination of improving our product line and the rising pressure of inflation has backed us into a corner. We can no longer shoulder the weight of rising costs and stay a viable business. With that said, we have made the heartbreaking decision that a price increase is necessary and will take effect on March 31st. We do have a few ideas to make this an easy transition for our loyal customers:
You can subscribe to your favorite products on recurring delivery to lock in our current pricing. All subscription orders ship for free, you can change or skip your delivery anytime, and choose how often your order ships.
We will also be able to offer free shipping on orders +$50.
You are our family, our community, and we deeply understand how inflation has affected all of you. We cannot convey the amount of anxiety, heartbreak, and stress we have faced trying to figure out how to keep our products attainable in price and still maintain the highest quality. We hope you understand the position we are in, and know that we will continue to support our customers in every way we can.

Tuesday at 8:06pm Pacific is the Spring Equinox - a time of renewal, fertility, and rebirth. A time to reflect on the shadows of the winter and look forward with optimism to the spring. At Fable, this time marks a season of change, of planting seeds and watching them grow. Take time tonight to look ahead with expansive possibility and honor the release you may be feeling. Seasons changing, even when welcomed, can cause unsettling emotions.
Shower and care for yourself, indulge in a moment of selfcare honoring the movement from dark to light.
The winter freeze is thawing, which means it's time to tap into our bodies and especially our skin. On the day of the equinox we love to declutter our space and begin with new rituals.
As we shake off the winter heaviness from our form and look to recalibrate, the best place to start is with our Turmeric Charcoal & Copaiba Facial Cleanser. An abundance of botanical wonders that support your skin through this transition, including Copaiba to balance hormones, and Licorice Root to protect with antioxidants.
After cleansing, it’s critical to add moisture back to your skin to support your lipid barrier. Use our Neroli & Frankincense Hydrating Facial Mist and then massage in our Copaiba & Tamanu Balancing Facial Oil, taking time to lightly move the lymph. This season can be stressful on the immune system.
If your skin is damaged, reactive, or just needs a little extra nourishment, we recommend our Agave & Golden Algae Vital Cream. Full of complexion-fortifying ingredients this cream helps restore healthy skin. Everyone’s skin is different, and changes with the seasons, so be intentional and listen to your body.
Once a week we love adding a masking ritual to our regular routine. Our Probiotic & Kelp Marine Mask works best for this time of transition as it fortifies, heals, and nourishes in the gentlest manner.
We hope these seasonal tips help you find a new direction in your routine. Listen as you incorporate these new botanicals into your rituals, view them as your transitional allies and trust your inner knowing as to what your skin really needs. We always believe that less is more, but be meditative and let your skin guide the way. These simple yet profound rituals help reconnect us with nature's rhythms. We can feel disoriented with the time change, and a big seasonal transition, but our skincare can routine can help ground us. Remember to find beauty in simplicity.
March always feels like a rebirth, a second chance at the new year. A point of reflection and optimism. The flowers slowly grasp and pull towards life and internally I feel the same. I am ready for the energetic recharge of spring but also feel the weight of winter. nesting and preparing at the same time, hibernating with the expectation of spring joy. Flowing forward while planting your seeds to bloom. sitting with anticipation and optimism while enjoying peace in restfulness. we have made it to the spring light.
The history of face masks is rich and varied, tracing its roots thousands of years to ancient civilization. Face masks have been a part of many cultures across the world, traditionally crafted from a variety of natural ingredients. These ingredients include herbs, clays, oils and natural fibers, all meant to calm, cleanse, nourish, and enhance the skin’s complexion.
Clay has been used by healers in beauty rituals for centuries. Clay is known for its purifying and healing abilities due to its beneficial properties and rich mineral content. Different clays can be used with other natural ingredients to target your skins specific needs.
We love drawing on the Roman ritual of adding honey to our dry masks as an added antioxidant and healing component.
Honey has the unique ability to promote skin cell regeneration and healing, while also softening, brightening, and clarifying the skin. Incorporating honey into your daily routine promotes skin health naturally, making it an essential part of any skincare regimen.
Try honey in your rituals at home with our Rose Clay & Goats Milk Face Mask or your favorite dry mask. When prepping your mask a penny size amount into your mask before mixing. Slowly add water into your mask until it reaches your desired consistency.

To welcome the darkness and explore its shadows, to find deeper dimensions of my being. While allowing the inner reflection. I also find that by surrounding myself with vignettes of bright and optimistic color I can find balance during this month.

The roots of dry brushing can be traced back to ancient civilizations in Egypt, where it was an integral part of self-care routines.
It's said Cleopatra would start her spa ritual with dry brushing, followed by a milk and honey bath. In Ayurvedic medicine, this practice goes by the name Garshana.
Dry Brushing is believed to lightly exfoliate and sweep away dead skin to reveal glowing and smooth skin. The thought is that the coarse bristles will help to remove dead skin and improve the skin's ability to rid the body of toxins through the pores.
Dry Brush before showering so you can wash away all the toxins and dead skin cells you release. Add a few drops of essential oil to your dry brush to support detoxification, increase circulation, and support skin health
Start at your feet and work your way up towards your heart. Using small firm strokes or circular motions with your brush. Use light pressure on areas with thin skin. Always brush in a direction going towards your heart.
After dry brushing, your pores are primed and ready to absorb your favorite nutrient-dense lotion or body oil. Apply after showering off all the toxins and dead skin.

I love October for so many reasons. it is the month I feel most at home in myself, schedules are set, there is a level of security in what each day will hold and it grounds me in a way that my chaotic energy needs. As a business owner, October is also a month of optimism and excitement as we build up to the holidays, it’s a time I get to connect more with my fable community and I thrive off of that energy.
HAIR TREATMENT
WHY USE A HOT OIL TREATMENT?
OILS AND THEIR BENEFITS:
*If you have shorter or thinner hair you can half the recipe*
As the seasons change, I take time to come into harmony with nature and with myself. Summer is a time of movement and energy, a space for play, reckless schedules, and spontaneity. Moving into fall, I lean into structure, and through that, I can be more intentional about connecting to the world around me and my community. As I begin this process of re-centering, I focus on reconnecting with my body and falling back into routines.
In the fall, life is expanding and contracting simultaneously and I feel these shifts deeply in my skin. I often adjust my skincare routine with the season to synchronize with nature and the changing weather.
As temperatures rise and drop and the air gets drier, we must take extra care of our skin to ensure it continues to retain its natural moisture levels. With the right products and a few simple practices, you can keep your skin feeling nourished all year round, no matter the climate. Here are a few tips to help you and your skin adapt to weather changes.
At the start of each new season, the first change in my skincare routine is always my facial cleanser. Over the summer, I’m constantly having to apply and reapply sunscreen, and I often find myself with sweat and sand all over my face. To keep my skin clean and less oily, I use our Sea Clay & Tea Tree Facial Cleanser. As Fall approaches, I switch to a gentler, more hydrating Rose Clay & Lavender Cleanser to get that extra bit of moisture and calmness I need.
Our Rose Clay & Lavender cleanser is a favorite of mine for a few reasons. The captivating color of deep blush is such a refreshing return to femininity. I'm reminded of my mother as I inhale the calming lavender scent and reflect on the beauty she has shared with me. While deeply nurturing and calming, this cleanser is packed with nutrients that maintain skin structure and integrity.
Another skincare step that I change is to start using our Neroli & Frankincense Mist twice in my daily routine. I mist my skin before I apply moisturizer, and again afterwards. Balancing my pH is really important as the weather and life change while supporting my microbiome and ensuring my skin is hydrated.
As the months get cooler, I transition away from using our Sea Clay & Goats Milk Mask, which is great for oily summer skin, and I begin alternating between our Probiotic & Kelp Marine Mask and our Rose Clay & Goats Milk Mask that I mix with plain greek yogurt. Maintaining skin hydration is critical for me in transitional months. I have always had acne-prone and reactive skin and have found that if I can keep my skin hydrated I can keep it much calmer.
There are many other changes I try to make in the fall to support my body internally as well, I try to flood my system with nutrient-dense foods and take extra supplements. Here are a few other ideas to incorporate into your seasonal skincare routine:
The kids are bringing home germs and our schedule is more rigid so I lose some time to rest and manual lymph support is critical in staying healthy. During the fall, I start to incorporate dry brushing a few times a week to help support my lymph system.
Dry brushing is an Ayurvedic practice that has been around for centuries and is said to have many health benefits. It works by exfoliating the skin in a certain pattern with a brush that has natural fiber bristles. The thought is that the coarse bristles will help to remove dead skin and improve the skin's ability to rid the body of toxins through the pores. Dry brushing is believed to help the body detoxify by opening pores and stimulating sweating, which eases the flow of fluids and toxins throughout the lymphatic system. The lymphatic system helps to keep us healthy by fighting off infections, but when there is too much toxin or illness in the system, the lymph nodes may become blocked and swollen.
In the fall and winter our metabolism naturally slows down and adding a scoop of Sakara Metabolism Super Powder to my coffee helps keep me energized. With ingredients like Kelp Extract to support lipid metabolism, Gymnema Sylvestre to curb sugar cravings and maintain healthy blood sugar levels, L-Glutamine to protect your gut health, Horsetail extract to ease bloating and flush out excess liquids, and Black Pepper Piperine to stimulate digestion.
Supplements: I add a combination of rosehip and vitamin c to my supplements to support healthy skin structure, as well as oregano oil to help boost my immunity.
Revising your diet to include healthy fats and vitamins found in foods like avocados, nuts, and leafy greens can also provide vital nourishment for optimal skin health. Taking these preventative measures as the weather changes can make a big difference in your skin's well-being.
Don’t forget to up the hydration inside your body too - make sure to get your daily quota of fluids such as water or herbal teas to help nourish your skin from within.
September is a month of renewal, our schedules have returned, and for a lot of us that brings a great deal of peace back to our lives.

I hope you take this time of self-enchantment to recharge and regroup.

We get so many questions from our customers asking why our Agave & Golden Algae Vital Cream doesn't contain SPF, and we wanted to take a few minutes to share why we omitted sun protection from our moisturizer formula.
Simply put, we do not believe that sunscreen is an ingredient that provides nutrients to your skin. Sunscreen needs to be its own separate layer and not diluted by the ingredients. Moisturizers are formulated to be absorbed into the skin, providing needed hydration and nutrients. Mixing SPF with other ingredients from a moisturizer dilutes the protective powers and we want you to have the maximum coverage possible while you’re out living your best summer lives ~
In general, sunscreen is intended to sit on top of the skin, forming a barrier between you and the sun's harmful UV rays. As a regulated drug, it must meet a certain SPF requirement for protection and go through rigorous testing. Unfortunately, this leaves little space to include other ingredients. That, and the fact that you should be continuously applying sunscreen throughout the day (which may not be ideal with a moisturizer or serum, based on your skin type or the product's price). Moisturizers with SPF typically aren't water-resistant, so they might not work as well if you're swimming or sweating.
No matter what sunscreen formula you choose, application rules still apply: Make sure to slather your skin every two hours, and don't skimp on your face, neck, chest, and any other areas of your body that will be exposed to the sun.
Here are our top picks for clean sunscreen (stay safe out there fable babes!)
We all try to protect our skin, but sometimes sun burns happen. This DIY can offer some relief and help your skin recover.

Spring is a time for self-growth and self-care. Taking time for a hot bath can bring you out of the winter darkness and into the fresh light of the new season.
Here's a quick DIY bath soak to enjoy this month:
Begin building your bath soak with plants from your garden. I love gathering flowers and collecting the petals in a bowl, I then pour in olive oil to completely cover the petals and add 5 drops of wild orange & neroli essential oil over the top. I let them soak overnight and add the mixture to the bath with one cup of Epsom salt and one cup of baking soda.
Baking soda and Epsom salt help your body detoxify and eliminate the waste that can build up over the colder months. If I am feeling indulgent, I will add our Desert Moon Bath Soak for a truly transcendental experience to welcome spring.
Add a few healthy handfuls to your evening bath soak, pause, relax, and renew.
